+ABC Won’t Block Or Bless New Province

Read it all at George Conger’s place.

Interesting, to say the least. So all the Primates will be at the spring Primates Meeting.

He is waiting to see just how many Primates recognize it now. My guess is there will be more recognition post GC09 than before.

Based on his behavior to date, it will probably fall to his successor to make the call.

Watch what comes out of Primates’ meeting in Alexandria in end of January ’09: full recognition of ACNA.

    How very Laodicean of him.

Since he is not legally obliged to retire or resign until June 13, 2021 (the day before his 71st birthday), you may be in for a long wait. I hope that Laodicea has plenty of tourist amenities to help while away the time.

    Dr. Tighe,

I am sure someone is fully prepared to accept ++RW’s renunciation of orders long before his 71st birthday. It would appear that neither a lack of renunciation nor being in another province is any safeguard against having the renuciation accepted.

Maybe someone in NY will do me a favor and declare that I have excommunicated myself by posting here.
