A Word About GAFCON

Episcopal Life just gets it wrong. Among other current Episcopalians there, Bishop MacPherson and Canon Gregg Riley (rector of Grace, Monroe) are at GAFCON.

I am thinking that going to GAFCON is going to be viewed as an act to abandon communion with the Episcopal Church in the United States. It would not surprise me on bit if New York sees all who attend as former Episcopalians.

I put it down to preconceived notions and sloppy reporting.

Mrs. Shori must indeed be a very arrogant person to officially send a representative to a conference she was not invited to attend. That tpo me represents the height of rudeness. But then I was raised with southern manners. I know little about this in your face means of relating to people other than to think it vile.

Sloppy, and slanted. Note the carefully fudged wording “some of whom are engaged in litigation concerning Episcopal Church property.” Truthful phrasing would be something like “whose parishes are the TARGETS of litigation by the Episcopal Church to seize properties they currently occupy.”
