The witch-hunt continues – now MacBurney! I have known this man for over 25 years. I was his assistant at Trinity Cathedral in Davenport, Iowa in 1982. I was one of his clerical presenters when he was consecrated Bishop Of Qunicy. He is the god-father of my daughter. It is a sham that TEC continues to seek out the orthodox bishops, retired or otherwise, to persecute and riducule. Bishop MacBurney is a godly man, gentle and pastoral. I am embarrassed, ashamed, and saddened by TEC’s decision to bring him up on charges. Who is next? We can dipose Schofield, Cox, and now MacBurney, but keep Robinson? What is wrong with this picture?

It is, Canon Riley, the Episcopal Final Solution to Orthodoxy. It is time to take a stand, or it’s the ovens for all of us. You have been outspoken, as has Guido+ and you are on somebody’s list for canonical persecution, no doubt about it. It may take a few years, but they do not intend to stop until we have all been driven off or destroyed.

That used to be laughable. Not any longer.

I am glad to see that Bishop MacBurney is planning to fight the charges and that Whit Stevens is his counsel. As for the kangaroo court – well – what can I say? I know that Bishop MacBurney does not own a computer and thus he can not read the e-mail support he is and will be getting. We need another means of communicating to him our support and prayers for his faithful witness and willingness to be “sacrifced” for the sake of Truth. In Hoc Signo Vinces.

Now Ted, stop trying to frighten Gregg and Guido. They might just decide to stay home when GC 09 rolls around.

But seriously, would the proper way to support Bishop MacBurney be through a contribution to the ACC “earmarked” for his defense?

The PB’s axe has fallen again – Bishop Ed MacBurney has been inhibited. Who is next? Duncan? Iker?

And Bishop MacPherson commented in “ALIVE” that he was “disheartened” by the inhibition.

    That’s all?

Eventually a web site this really is simple to operate around.
